Kids Say the Darnedest Things...

So today when I got off of work Summer and I made a trip to the grocery store to pick up some potatoes for dinner. As we were walking through the produce section and older gentleman walked passed us pushing his cart; once he made his way in front of us Summer pointed at his butt and said "Mommy that his butt!" I ignored her comment hoping that she would go on to something else when she went on to say "Mommy eat that butt" not only once but about 3 times. We were definitely in earshot so I was quite embarrassed. I am so thankful he didn't turn around because I would have died...lol She then went on pointing at other objects in the isles saying "eat that mommy eat that". I know she didn't understand what she had said but boy did I turn red quick!

Summer's Birthday Project

It's been a busy weekend working on the area we will be building Summer's Playground. If you have ever been to the house, it is going on the side we usually set up the movie screen. We have been doing a lot of clearing and cleaning up to give more room so we can still set up the outdoor movie theater and play games as well as enjoy the new fire pit we just built and allow Summer and her friends to have plenty of space to run around and play in.



This is a picture of her new "playground". Her Dad who is currently station in Japan wanted her to have a nice swing set so after doing much searching and review reading this is the one I picked out for her, I think she is going to LOVE it! Hopefully we we can finish up and get it built before her birthday on the 17th of May.
